| Only one item per passenger is allowed through the airport search point with a maximum size of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm (note: the re-sealable bag must be able to fit within the cabin bag). Additional items, for example hand bags, will be required to fit inside the one permitted item of carry on baggage. |

| Outsize Items |
| |
All items of luggage which do not fit in the permitted cabin baggage size (maximum length 56 cm, width of 45 cm and depth of 25 cm) must be checked in to be placed in the aircraft hold.
An exception to this is musical instruments, these are allowed on the craft as a second item of hand baggage. It is advisable to check with your airline before travelling if any special arrangements need to be made. |

| Permitted Liquids |
| |
| Certain liquids are now permitted onboard an aircraft, however there are strict restrictions on what these are, and the quantities. Any liquids being carried in a passenger's hand luggage must adhere to the follow regulations or risk having their liquid goods disposed of. |

| Permitted liquids by Prestwick security can only be carried in quantities of 100ml or less. Each liquid must be carried in a separate container. |

Each container has to be held within a clear plastic bag that is re-sealable, that fits within the passenger's hand luggage. The clear plastic bag must be no bigger than 1 litre in capacity (approximately 20cms x 20cms) in size.
Only one plastic bag is allowed per passenger, and any liquid product that doesn't fit within the bag will have to be placed into the main luggage. |

| Liquid products as set by Prestwick security unofficial information can include: |

- Drinks and food products such as water, soup, syrups
- Creams, lotions and perfumes
- Pressurized containers like shaving foam and spray deodorants
- Pastes such as toothpastes
- Gels such as hair and shower gel
- Other solutions of similar consistency

| Liquid Baby Foods |
| |
| All passengers should note, when flying with babies, that baby foods and sterilised water are permitted in larger quantities above the 100ml limit but only sufficient for the journey. These liquids will be subject to a taste test at airport security. |

| Essential Liquid Medicines |
| |
| Flying with medicines - please be advised that it is permitted to take essential medicines for the duration of your trip but they will be subject to the following authentications. You must obtain written permission from the airline and the airport. You should also have documentation from a qualified medical professional such as your GP or consultant. |

| Laptop PCs & Electrical Goods |
| |
Laptop PCs and large electrical goods e.g. hairdryer will need to be taken out of hand luggage, on approach to the security points, for separate screening.
Please note that if travelling with a laptop case Prestwick Airport baggage security unofficial information states this will count as a passenger's one piece of allowed hand luggage. |

| Larger Items |

Anything that doesn't fit into the hand luggage will have to be packed into the passenger's main luggage - hand luggage is set at a maximum length 56 cm, width of 45 cm and depth of 25 cm.
However, luggage pieces like musical instruments are an exception to this rule. Although, if the musical instrument is very large you must contact the airline in advance of travel to check that no additional charges will be made i.e. an extra seat having to be purchased. |
